Professor Nasr Bensalah
Dr. Nasr Bensalah is a Professor of Chemistry with the department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences, at college of Arts and Sciences, Qatar University. His research interests for electrochemical storage devices include the development of new conversion-type (transition metal fluorides and sulfur-based materials) cathodes and silicon-based anodes for Lithium-ion and metal-ion batteries.
He was awarded a prestigious Fulbright scholarship (October 2008 – July 2009) from US department of State for his contributions in developing electrochemical technologies as green environmental remediation methods. He is expert in electro-analytical methods for battery testing including cyclic voltammetry, anodic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and other electrochemical testing specifications. He published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and he has supervised 12 MSc-students and 8 PhD- students.
